Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Monitor and record vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures.
Utilize dental software systems for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. We use Oryx and training will be provided.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging when required.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

Proficiency in infection control practices within a dental setting.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dental health.
Knowledge of X-ray procedures and safety protocols.
Experience using dental software systems, particularly Oryx.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
Ability to monitor vital signs accurately.
Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
