OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring accuracy and safety protocols are followed.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and Epic for patient management and medical documentation.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes, contributing to advanced treatment planning.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient experience.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software (Dentrix, Epic) for scheduling and documentation.
Understanding of anatomy related to dental health and procedures.
Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively while adhering to all safety guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 38 per week
