Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental procedures, including pediatrics and prosthodontics. The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, manage patient records, and maintain a sterile environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage patient scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up on treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records using software like Dentrix.
Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and assisting with their specific needs.
Pay Range by experience

Qualifications

EFDA or DANB Required
Experience with Dentrix dental software
Must be able to fabricate Provisionals and take impressions.
Itero scanning for procedures.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
A minimum of 2 years experience in a dental office is a must.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
2 Saturdays per month is required
