Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic oral surgery office. The ideal candidate needs to have prior experience in either an oral surgery or dental office and will be adept at providing excellent patient care while supporting our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Rooming: Assist in preparing and rooming patients for their surgical appointments, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.
Surgical Assistance: Gather and prepare necessary supplies for the clinical team during surgeries, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Patient Transport: Safely transport patients from the office to the surgical area and escort them outside post-procedure.
Supply Management: Organize and restock clinical supplies, maintaining an efficient and well-equipped workspace.
Patient Paperwork: Assist patients with filling out consent forms and other necessary paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Clinical Support: Assist the clinical team with administrative tasks and surgery preparation, including maintaining cleanliness and organization of the surgical area.
Communication: Facilitate effective communication between patients and the clinical team, addressing any questions or concerns.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with office policies and regulations.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient office operations.
The right candidate will also have the opportunity to be trained to conduct introductory patient consultations for oral surgery.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in an oral surgery or dental office setting.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and surgical procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Dental Assistant certification is required.

$18 - $23 per hour
