Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various procedures while ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations. This role requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Utilize medical imaging systems to capture X-rays and assess dental health.
Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary tools and support.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA standards.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Implement infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency.
Skills
Proficient in dental office procedures and protocols.
Experience with medical imaging systems for capturing X-rays.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices and pediatric care.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort and education.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental management software is preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
