Job SummaryOur Private Practice is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, promoting oral health, and ensuring a comfortable experience during their visits. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver comprehensive care and support the overall mission of our practice. Our office is a fast-paced, energized, well established, patient centered, dual practitioner dental practice, committed to our patient's dental needs, desires, and expectations.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care.
Perform periodontal assessments and document findings accurately in patient records.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Utilize Open Dental software for patient documentation and appointment scheduling.
Collaborate with dentists during procedures, practicing four-handed dentistry techniques as needed.
Conduct medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before finalizing patient records.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Skills
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and general dentistry practices.
Proficiency in infection control procedures to maintain a sterile working environment.
Ability to assist in various dental procedures while maintaining patient comfort.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment used in dental practices.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation review and patient assessments.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
