Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
Utilize dental imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Review documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with dental office protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow in the office.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
Experience in patient care within a dental office setting is preferred but not required.
Proficient in medical imaging systems related to dentistry.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform documentation review accurately.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
