Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at our dental practice.ââ¬â¹ Our office primarily focuses on providing root canal treatments and occasional oral surgeries, requiring a professional who is adept in assisting with these procedures.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are ready and available.
Maintain strict infection control protocols in accordance with industry standards.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use.
Take patient histories and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize dental software for patient management, scheduling, and record keeping.
Assist with administrative tasks such as managing patient records, billing, and appointment scheduling.
Experience
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with IV sedation protocols is prefered.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
Experience working in Endodontics setting is a plus.
Knowledge of infection control standards and practices is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software systems will be advantageous.
