Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort during visits. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff in a fast-paced dental clinic environment.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
Conduct documentation reviews to maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Assist in four-handed dentistry procedures, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort during treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize knowledge of dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dental office, adhering to infection control protocols.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized patient care plans based on assessments.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of dental clinic operations.
Experience or familiarity with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong skills in patient assessment and documentation review processes.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
