OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and proficiency in using dental software systems. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper hygiene practices.
*We need a Registered Dental Hygienist to fill in on Wednesdays*
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
Review patient documentation and medical histories to assess their dental needs.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Assist dentists during procedures with four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort.
Take and record vital signs as necessary to monitor patient health during visits.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Opera DDS, and Dentrix.
Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Experience with documentation review, medical imaging, and dental assisting is preferred.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft, Opera DDS, and Dentrix software is a plus.
Strong understanding of infection control practices within a clinical setting.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
