Job Description

Duties:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including pediatric dentistry- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Take dental x-rays- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures- Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions- Maintain accurate and up-to-date dental documentation, including patient charts, treatment plans, and progress notes- Utilize computer software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments, managing patient records.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred. Current RDA license- Current CPR certification- X-ray certification in accordance with state regulations- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail- Proficiency in using computer software systems
