OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and patient-friendly Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting orthodontist in delivering high-quality orthodontic services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Duties

Assist orthodontists during procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Manage patient records, ensuring accurate medical documentation and compliance with privacy regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques.
Support the orthodontic team with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Experience

Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is essential for effective communication within the clinic.
Familiarity with infection control procedures and aseptic techniques is required to maintain a safe environment for patients.
Experience with medical documentation and managing medical records is preferred.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting, particularly in orthodontics, is an advantage but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and team members are essential for success in this role.
Valid California Radiation Safety License required
