Job Description
```Job Summary```
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. Our office hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring infection control protocols are followed, and maintaining accurate medical records. ```Duties```
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform dental charting and update patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar
- Assist with billing and coding procedures
```Requirements```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment operation
- Experience with medical coding and documentation
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Eaglesoft
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
