Job Description
We are a hospital-based practice in search of a dynamic and bilingual dental assistant to join our team. Your role involves all aspects of general dentistry, including implant placement, oral and periodontal surgery, endodontic procedures, IV sedation, and more.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide outstanding customer service with an excellent chairside manner
Assist the dentist in utilizing proper four-handed dentistry techniques, observing universal precautions
Be cognizant of doctor schedules and patient flow
Comply with office and hospital policies and procedures
Assumes the standards of care related to infection control; all OSHA guidelines & safety are upheld at the station they are assigned
Expose and digitally record ordered radiographs
Maintain dental operatories in an organized and clean fashion, assuring appropriate instruments and supplies are available
Maintain patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures
Review post-operative care instructions with patients
Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization
Sterilize and/or disinfect instruments, handpieces, and ancillary equipment
Assist office and doctor in maintaining patient records and informed consent documents
Chart existing dentistry and current conditions in a computerized dental chart
Familiarity with IV sedation
Monitor and record vitals for patients under general anesthesia
Take impressions (physical & digital) for various prosthetic procedures and study models
Successful completion of a background check with no negative findings
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-related criteria pertinent to the patients
Minimum Qualifications:
Current CPR certification
High School Diploma
Dental Assisting Certificate or Diploma

The following are required for hospital privileges: Valid Driver License w/ ability to drive to 3 area hospitals, COVID vaccine, CDA certificate, annual flu vaccine, current TB test, and Tdap vaccine. Vaccines and TB test can be obtained within the first 60 days of employment to continue employment.
