Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a supportive environment, ensuring the overall health and well-being of our patients. This role requires a strong commitment to patient education, preventive care, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' oral health, including reviewing medical history and documenting findings.
Assist in the management of patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling appointments, documenting treatment plans, and managing patient information.
Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Perform medical imaging procedures as required, ensuring accurate documentation and review of results.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry practices.
Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation review processes is essential.
Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
