Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a Dental Hygienist for our award-winning office. An outstanding team member is moving out of state and we're hoping to find someone just as amazing.
Pay is 33% of production or $55/hr whichever is higher. With assistants to help you and the availability of SRP in our patient base, pay can exceed $75/hr.
Our job offer stands out from others due to our hours. Patients begin at 8 and end at 2:30, allowing parents to easily drop off and pick up their children at the beginning and end of each day resulting in significant child-care cost savings and a great work-life balance (even if you don't have kids!). We are able to adjust hours for qualified candidates.
We offer up to 5 total weeks of PTO. 3 weeks flexible PTO, 6 paid holidays, and paid snow/doctor-sick days.
Housing can be tough to find in Asheville. We have secured a furnished and ready-to-rent condo in the Brevard Road area and are happy to provide other individualized assistance as required to relocate to our desirable area. Asheville is regularly ranked among the best places to live in the country.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and maintaining high standards of dental hygiene expected of our 3-time "Best of Asheville" practice. Your role involves working closely with patients to educate them on oral health, performing cleanings, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive care.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and current medications.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists in four-handed dentistry to provide efficient patient care.
Utilize Eagleaoft software for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing processes.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and medical terminology.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
