Responsibilities: Perform dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and root planing. Conduct oral health assessments and screenings, taking and developing dental X-rays as necessary. Provide preventive dental care instructions to patients, including proper brushing and flossing techniques. Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation under the direction of the dentist. Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in the dental software system.
Requirements: Valid dental hygienist license in NJ. Minimum 5 years of experience as a dental hygienist in a dental office setting. Proficient in dental software systems and digital imaging technology. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, oral health procedures, and infection control protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team members.
