JOB This position will work 32 hours per week (80% time) & the weekly schedule Monday through Thursday 8am-5pm out of the Lawrenceville Dental Clinic.The salary range for this position will be $33,973.64-$42,148.26 and will be based on education & experience. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Public Health Dental Hygienist Job Summary: Under both, general and direct supervision of a Dentist in a clinical setting, school setting and using established dental hygiene protocols and procedures, the Dental Hygienist provides comprehensive, professional, high-quality dental hygiene treatment and education to a broad range of patients, including children.Responsibilities: Performs all duties under direct and general supervision of dentistResponsible for direct patient care as authorized by the dentistPerforms treatment consistent with the standard of care for hygienists as state law allowsGathers patient health dataEducates clients on oral health to include conducting training sessions for individuals and groupsPractice, monitor, comply, and train staff in proper OSHA, CDC and HIPPA regulations for dentistryProvides preventive oral health treatment inclusive of, but not limited to: Dental Screening/Examination to include the head, neck, and oral areas for diseaseProphylaxis (Child and Adult)Scaling and Root Planning SealantsFluoride Treatment Take and develop x-raysAny other scope of practice changes that may be adoptedMaintains documentation in Electronic Dental Record (EDR) inclusive of, but not limited to: Patient health information, medicine record, and medical allergies Signatures of all parties involved on medical histories, informed consents and acceptance and refusal of treatment.Assessment findings, diagnosis and recommended treatment Patient oral hygiene level and progress or lack thereof, to include homecare instructions The care and treatment renderedAll drugs prescribed to the patient Patient next visit recommendationManages a recall system for patientsAssists with maintaining supplies, equipment and instrumentsWill set up and break down the operatory between patients and help in lab with sterilization.Upon request, helps with maintaining the dental prevention program with local travel required.
