Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with patients and staff effectively.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
Prepare and organize treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic.
Schedule appointments and assist with front office duties as needed, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries.
Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and addressing their unique needs during visits.
Ensure compliance with all health regulations and safety protocols.
Requirements
Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic is a plus.
Knowledge of medical coding is beneficial but not required.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A positive attitude towards learning new skills related to dentistry, particularly in pediatrics.
Must be able to understand and speak English and Spanish fluently.

Pay: $19.88 - $21.00 per hour
