Job OverviewWe are seeking an additional compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Dental Assistant with at least 2 years-experience to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will work closely with pediatric patients, providing essential support to the dentist during examinations and treatments. Your primary focus will be on ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our young patients while maintaining a high standard of care in accordance with dental practices.
Duties

Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments. Assist the front desk as needed
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Manage patient records, ensuring all medical records are accurate and up-to-date.
Educate patients and their parents/guardians on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Support the front office staff as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.

Experience

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, particularly in pediatrics or general dentistry settings.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control practices is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children and their families, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
