Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our start-up dental practice. The ideal candidate will play an important role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of dental procedures, and the ability to assist the dental team effectively.
Duties
Assist dentist during various procedures, including endodontics and general dentistry.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use.
Take patient medical histories and record vital signs accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Open Dental.
Perform infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when needed.
Skills
Proficient in dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to the field.
Knowledge of infection control standards and practices in a dental setting.
Experience with dental assisting techniques, including chairside assistance during procedures.
Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 ââ¬â 24 per week
