Simply Smiles Family Dental in Republic (Springfield metro) is looking for an enthusiastic, patient centric Dental Hygienist who is focused on providing patients with the most advanced comprehensive dental care available. We are a busy, privately owned practice serving our local community and the four county area.

Skills/Abilities

Assess dental condition and needs of patients using patient screening procedures, including medical history review, dental charting, and perio-charting
Perform hygiene treatment procedures, such as cleaning, scaling, perio maintenance and polishing
Take radiographs required for diagnosis of treatment needs by the dentist
Apply sealants and fluorides
Electronic record keeping
Teach patients how to prevent tooth decay and gum disease through proper diet and oral home care
Execute Treatment Plans as prescribed by the dentist
Ability to articulate and express patient’s concerns to dentist
Sterilization and equipment maintenance
Follow AAP guidelines for periodontal staging and grading

Required Education/Certifications

Current dental hygienist license in Missouri
Minimum of an Associates degree, Bachelors degree a plus
Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation.
CPR/BLS Certificate
Radiology Certificate
Laser perio therapy certification a plus
