What Youââ¬â¢ll Do:
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations to evaluate oral health with assistance from a team member.
Take X-rays as needed. If available, an LDA or X-ray certified dental assistant will take the X-rays.
Review and update medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize dental terminology effectively while communicating with patients and team members.
Document patient treatments and progress accurately in OpenDental electronic health record system
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
Valid MN license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and dental terminology.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates are welcome to apply.
