Job Description

We are accepting applications for competent, reliable, energetic candidates to function as dental assistants in our office. Ideal candidates will help us to streamline office operations and increase efficiency resulting in a positive experience for our patients. Responsibilities (Condensed)

Welcome patients in the dental office
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Prepare, ship, receive and track all patient lab cases
Maintain accurate patient clinical notes
Assist the dentist via 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Keep operatories clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments when needed
assist with clerical duties and collect patient copays if needed

Skills (Condensed)

GOOD COMPUTER SKILLS (REQUIRED)
Proven experience as dental assistant (desirable)
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods (desirable)
Understanding of health & safety regulations (Training Provided)
Excellent communication and people skills (REQUIRED)
Attention to detail (REQUIRED)
Well-organized and reliable (REQUIRED)
High school diploma; plus graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) is desirable
