OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy in medical coding and documentation.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order as necessary.
Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling and record management.
Support pediatric dentistry practices by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and patients with special needs.

Skills

Proficiency with dental impressions and model fabrication is highly recommended.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices to cater to younger patients effectively.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile working environment.
Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures for accurate billing and insurance purposes.
Competence in managing medical records and understanding dental terminology for effective communication within the team.
Experience using Dentrix software is highly desirable for efficient practice management.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
