Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms for patient care.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate records using dental software systems, Dentrix.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for young patients.
Assist in endodontics procedures as needed.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and impressions when applicable.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.

Skills

Proficiency in dental software systems - Dentrix.
Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques.
Experience or interest in pediatrics and pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Familiarity with endodontics practices is a plus.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
Experience with medical coding is advantageous but not required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Pay: $17.00 - $27.00 per hour
