We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal efficiency.
Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use.
Maintain patient records accurately, including medical coding and documentation of treatments performed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed.
Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and assisting with child-specific procedures.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control protocols.
Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures, including endodontics.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology and familiarity with medical coding is essential.
Proficiency in aseptic technique and understanding of infection control practices.
Experience with Epic or similar dental software systems is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, especially children, in a friendly manner.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.22 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 ââ¬â 40 per week
