Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a compassionate approach to young patients.
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing billing inquiries.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Familiarity with dental terminology, infection control practices, and medical coding is advantageous.
Proficiency in using dental software systems like Eaglesoft or Epic is a plus.
A strong understanding of general dentistry practices along with pediatric dentistry is beneficial.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 ââ¬â 39 per week
