Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
Take and develop X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and preparing treatment areas.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments and medical history.
Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.
Stay updated on dental terminology, endodontics, pediatrics, and medical coding to provide comprehensive support.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Familiarity with dental terminology, infection control practices, and X-ray procedures is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
Experience in specific areas such as endodontics or pediatrics will be considered an advantage.
A commitment to continuous professional development in dental assisting practices is essential.
