Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when applicable.
Schedule patient appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including medical coding.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with Epic software is a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control practices is essential.
Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
Experience with 3D scanning technology is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 ââ¬â 45 per week
