Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator and Billing Specialist to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for facilitating treatment plans for patients and managing billing processes efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of dental procedures and insurance protocols, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care experiences.
Responsibilities:
Treatment Coordination:
Meet with patients to discuss treatment recommendations provided by the dentist.
Explain treatment options, associated costs, and expected outcomes in a clear and compassionate manner.
Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage and maximizing benefits.
Coordinate appointments and follow-up care according to treatment plans.
Financial Consultation:
Provide accurate estimates of treatment costs, including patient copayments and insurance coverage.
Discuss financial arrangements and payment options with patients, ensuring clarity and transparency.
Work closely with patients to develop payment plans or financing options as needed.
Obtain necessary pre-authorizations or referrals from insurance providers.
Insurance Billing and Claims Management:
Process insurance claims accurately and efficiently, adhering to insurance company guidelines and timelines.
Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments.
Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, or appeals to ensure timely reimbursement.
Resolve any billing discrepancies or insurance issues in a proactive and professional manner.
Administrative Support:
Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and greeting patients as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, financial agreements, and insurance information.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the dental office.
Participate in training sessions and continuing education programs to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
