Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team in Fitzgerald, GA. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to ensuring patient comfort, efficient dental procedures, and contributing to the overall success of the practice. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms.
Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following OSHA and infection control standards.
Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions and education.
Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and maintain accurate documentation.
Ensure the inventory of dental supplies is stocked and organized.
Support the front office team as needed, including patient check-in and check-out.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
State certification (if applicable) for dental radiography.
CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with dental software systems is a plus.
