Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Duty Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and has experience in various aspects of dental assisting.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, making children feel comfortable during their visits.
Manage dental reception tasks, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
Assist with endodontic procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of relevant techniques.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, record keeping, and billing processes.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is necessary.
Proficiency in infection control practices and procedures.
Familiarity with medical coding is a plus.
Experience with X-ray technology is highly desirable.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.57 - $19.47 per hour
