Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a diligent Dental Assistant to join our family dental practice. We focus on delivering the highest quality dental care and take pride in the long-term relationships we form. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn effectively in a fast-paced environment. We do almost all dental procedures in house and willing to train in any procedure your are interested in learning.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, surgery, root canal procedures and orthodontics.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Monitor vital signs and assist with patient management during procedures.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.

Skills

Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with various dental procedures.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices to maintain a safe environment for patients.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required.
A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and improving skills within the field of dentistry.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
