Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental and facial aesthetic practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and the ability to maintain a safe and sterile environment. The Dental Assistant will work closely with both patients and dental professionals ( Doctor and Head Assistant) to ensure smooth operations within the practice. Think of yourself as a "floater"...being ale to help in all areas of the practice.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Setting up and Breaking down operatories.
Support the front office staff with administrative tasks as required.

Experience

Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is essential for effective communication within the team.
Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend software for managing patient records efficiently.
Experience in taking X-rays and understanding medical records management.`
Previous experience in a dental assistant role or completion of a dental assistant program is preferred but not required.
