Job SummaryThe Scheduling Coordinator plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing appointments, ensuring productive scheduling by having hygienist scheduled 98% booked daily, and supporting the smooth operation of the office
We are seeking a well-rounded and motivated SCHEDULE COORDINATOR with outstanding customer service, magnificent communication skills, and the engineering of scheduling for production for multiple providers: hygienist, dentist, and assistant. Your mission is to infuse the front desk with your infectious enthusiasm and create a positive atmosphere for our patients and team. Master the art of scheduling - be the maestro behind the scenes, ensuring a smooth and productive flow. Must have 2 years of Dental Experience, and knowledge of Dentrix.
Duties
We are a general, private dental practice in Miami, with a passion for providing exceptional dental health care and world-class customer service to our diverse patient community creating a fun environment for team members! As a well-established practice, we are looking for candidates who are self-starters and organized. Our team comprises empathetic, energetic, and truly understanding how to service the customer to impress & retain.
The Dental Scheduling Coordinatorââ¬â¢s primary responsibility is to architect, manage, and coordinate patient appointments, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure the hygiene department is always booked. The coordinator will work closely with the dental team and provide administrative support for the dental practice to ensure efficient operations. A consistently positive attitude and the ability to prioritize tasks as needed are essential attributes for this position.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments- Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize appointment scheduling- Maintain and update patient records with accuracy- Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointments and scheduling changes- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of medical office management in daily tasks- Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies- Utilize computerized systems for scheduling and maintaining records- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper coding and billing procedures
Requirements- Proficiency in dental terminology- Experience in dental office management is preferred- Bilingual proficiency is a plus- Knowledge of dental terminology is advantageous- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding is beneficial- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is desirable
