We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our esteemed Aurora Dental Clinic. At Worthmore Clinic, we take pride in providing comprehensive restorative and preventative dental care to the refugee and immigrant community, positively impacting their lives.As an EDDA with 3+ years of experience and bilingual or multilingual, your expertise will be highly valued. This full-time position offers you a consistent schedule from Monday to Thursday, starting at 8:30 am and concluding at 6:15 pm. You will have the opportunity to work in a multicultural setting, enriching your own knowledge and understanding of different communities.As an EDDA, your responsibilities will include a range of tasks such as seating patients, reviewing medical histories, sterilizing and cleaning instruments and equipment, interpreting as needed, scheduling subsequent appointments, scribing notes, inputting codes for completed and proposed treatment, taking digital radiographs, stocking supplies, performing fluoride treatments, identifying instruments, using Patterson Eaglesoft, assisting dentists, dental students, hygienists, and DAs, and completing approved EDDA procedures.Moreover, you will have the opportunity to use your skills and knowledge in various areas of dentistry, including teeth whitening, placing composite restorations, crown and bridge impressions, coronal polish, oral surgery, study models, endodontic radiographs, sealants, periodontal charting, intraoral scanning, setting up operatories for procedures, making acrylic temporary crowns/bridges, assisting with extractions and implant placement, inputting and reviewing treatment plans, working on pedo crowns, space maintainers, denture and partial adjustment and delivery, impressions, and Cerec procedures.When you join Project Worthmore, you become part of a mission-driven organization committed to serving the refugee and immigrant community.
