Weââ¬â¢re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Dental Office Claims Processor and Front Desk Receptionist. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth office operations and improving cash flow by ensuring accurate insurance claims processing while supporting front desk tasks during peak times.
Position Overview:
The Dental Office Claims Processor and Front Desk Receptionist will handle insurance claims processing as their primary focus while providing backup support for front desk operations, including phones, patient check-ins/outs, and appointment scheduling. This role requires 1 year minimum experience in a dental office, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic office environment.
Key Responsibilities:Claims Processing (Primary Focus):
Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
Investigate and resolve denied or outstanding claims.
Handle preauthorizations for treatment plans and monitor their status.
Maintain accurate fee schedules in the practice management system.
Work closely with the insurance specialist and office manager to improve claims workflow.
Front Desk Support (Secondary Focus):
Answer phones and assist with scheduling patient appointments during peak times.
Check patients in and out, ensuring accurate coding and account updates.
Verify insurance for emergency and walk-in patients as needed.
Support lab case tracking and administrative tasks.
Additional Duties:
Assist with payment processing and patient billing inquiries as needed.
Collaborate with the office team to improve efficiency and enhance patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 1ââ¬â2 years of experience in dental insurance claims processing or front desk operations.
Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Practice-Web, OpenDental, or similar).
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and claims processing.
Preferred:
Familiarity with CDT codes and dental insurance plans.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Work Environment:
In-office role with dedicated focus hours for claims processing.
Collaborative and patient-centered practice with a supportive team.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 8 AM - 6 PM.
Claims processing tasks will have dedicated focus hours with minimal interruptions.
