Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. This position requires a strong understanding of dental and medical terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
Review patient documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and record-keeping.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the implementation of infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Conduct periodontal assessments and apply appropriate treatments as necessary.
Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry as needed.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in documentation review and familiarity with Open Dental software is preferred.
Strong understanding of infection control practices within a dental setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and dental terminology is essential.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse patient populations.
