Job Description

*Job Summary*
We are a small privately owned family general dental office with the most positive atmosphere to work. We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist general dentistry during procedures and perform various patient care, office, and laboratory duties. They will also manage office maintenance, ordering, and daily schedule with a second dental assistant. We are looking for a kind, responsible, mature, and respectful person who fits in with our wonderful team of women.
*Responsibilities*
- Prepare patients for dental work
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients
- Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records using Open dental software
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
*Skills*
- Proficiency in dental records management
- Knowledge of prosthodontics, general dentistry, and dental anatomy
- Experience with 3D scanners and traditional dental impressions
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Ability to take accurate vital signs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take dental radiographs in the proper orientation
- Maintain existing equipment following regular maintenance protocols specified by the manufacturer

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
