Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow using electronic software
Support general dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients.
Participate in dental procedures by assisting with necessary tools and materials.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high standards of care are maintained.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Familiarity with Dentrix software is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical documentation practices and HIPAA compliance is essential.
Experience in four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus.
Background in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
