*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. *Responsibilities* - Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. - Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques. - Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. - Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. - Perform administrative tasks including filing, billing, and coding using medical terminology. - Support pediatric patients with care and comfort during their visits. - Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when required. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental office. *Skills* - Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred. - Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. - Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. - Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry. - Experience with X-ray technology and safety protocols. - Ability to perform medical coding accurately for billing purposes. - Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus. - Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, particularly children in pediatric settings. - Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
