Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic.
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in the dental office.
Assist in various specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.

Skills

Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic is preferred.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Ability to perform X-ray imaging competently and safely.
Strong assisting skills with attention to detail in all tasks.
Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.68 - $25.78 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
