Our Mission: We are inspired by the Gospel to provide free primary healthcare services to uninsured, low-income residents in Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio.
Matthew 25 is the only full-time clinic in Allen County offering medical, dental, and prescription services at no cost to patients. Matthew 25 is a volunteer-driven health practice that has over 400 volunteers including physicians, dentists, nurses, front desk personnel, phone operators, hygienists, and patient assistance processors. There are 37 staff members.
Matthew 25 receives no governmental monies and depends entirely on gifts from individuals, churches, organizations, and corporations, as well as grants from foundations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We have a need for a Part-Time licensed Dental Hygienist to provide professional care services to underserved, uninsured adults (18+).
RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in overseeing dental hygiene activities
Treats patients providing legally permitted dental hygiene services (Prophylaxes, scaling and root planning, radiographs, local anesthesia, sealants, etc.).
Performs patient screening procedures.
Educates patients about oral hygiene (including nutrition as it relates to oral care).
Schedules restorative patients.
Documents and charts patient visits.

REQUIREMENTS

Current hygiene and local anesthesia licenses in Indiana
Proven clinical experience as a dental hygienist
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Have a heart for working with the underserved population

PREFERRED

Experience with Dentrix
Bilingual (Spanish)
