Job SummaryViola Startzman Dental Clinic seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral health. This role requires a strong understanding of infection control protocols, patient assessment techniques, and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate oral health and hygiene.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Provide care in a compassionate manner, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred
Proficiency in infection control practices and procedures.
Familiarity with Dentrix
Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
Experience working with pediatric patients is desirable but not required.
