Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
Perform preventive dental procedures such as scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient scheduling, record keeping, and treatment planning.
Engage in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Provide care for pediatric patients with a gentle and reassuring approach.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in a dental office setting preferred, particularly in general dentistry or pediatrics.
Knowledge of infection control practices and ability to adhere to safety protocols.
Proficiency in medical records management and documentation review.
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus.

Pay: $45.32 - $50.00 per hour
