OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff members in a supportive and professional environment, focusing on patient assessment, care, and education.
Duties
Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Administer preventive dental care such as cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments.
Implement infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
Collaborate with the dental team in general dentistry procedures and assist where necessary.
Work effectively with pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding during treatments.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Experience or familiarity with medical coding systems is preferred.
Excellent patient assessment skills with a focus on providing compassionate patient care.
Ability to assist in various dental procedures within a general dentistry setting.
Previous experience working in a dental office is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs.
