Job Description
Job OverviewSeeking a dental hygienist for our family practice to work part time.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate techniques.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software for medical coding and documentation.
Adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, particularly in pediatric dentistry when necessary.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in patient care techniques and medical imaging.
Experience with Dentrix software is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in a dental setting.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in assisting during dental procedures is a plus.
