Job Description

Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. Duties:- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement- Take and develop dental x-rays- Conduct oral cancer screenings- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed- Assist the dentist during procedures, such as fillings and extractions- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
Qualifications:- Valid state dental hygiene license- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene (Bachelor's degree preferred)- Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions- Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus- Familiarity with dental systems and software for medical coding and billing- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work well in a team environment
