The Assistant Manager role is designed to provide hands-on experience in managing the operations of a dental office, with the opportunity to grow into a full managerial position. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily office activities, ensuring smooth operations, compliance with regulations, and delivering excellent patient and employee experiences.
Primary Responsibilities:
Office Operations: Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the office, including patient relations, staff coordination, and overall office efficiency.
Staff Management: Support in hiring, training, and managing staff, including handling interviews, onboarding, performance evaluations, and, when necessary, dismissals.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the office complies with OSHA, state, and federal regulations.
Financial Management: Assist in managing office budgets, processing payroll, conducting bank deposits, and handling patient financial accounts.
Patient Care: Present treatment plans to patients and oversee patient scheduling and billing processes.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve clinical and operational issues promptly and professionally.
Additional Support: Assist the management team with various tasks as assigned to support office operations.
Specific Duties:
Assist with staff scheduling and daily activity management.
Use and maintain dental office software such as Dentrix for data entry and reporting.
Handle email correspondence, financial transactions, and appointment scheduling.
Participate in the development and implementation of office budgets.
Ensure adherence to the dental officeââ¬â¢s contingency plans.
Requirements:
Requirements:
High school diploma or relevant certification required.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in dental administration.
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in healthcare.
Strong understanding of dental billing and insurance procedures.
Proficient in computer skills, particularly in email communication and scheduling.
Friendly, professional, and highly organized with a commitment to excellent customer service.
Availability to work Mondays and Thursdays until close, and one weekend per month.
Willingness to travel between office locations.
